Steve Ashdown is both our Data Controller and Data Processor.

  • Lifestyle Information: Employment details, sleeping/eating patterns, sports, hobbies, habits/behaviours, smoking, and alcohol consumption, only if relevant to your coaching program.

  • To formulate a coaching program plan and provide you with requested information.

  • To communicate with you regarding your appointments and enquiries.

  • Adults: Treatment records are kept for a period of 8 years from the date of your last appointment.

  • Children: Records are kept until they reach the age of 25.

  • Legal Requirements: Data is retained for the duration required by law.

  • Our software programmes are protected with antivirus/malware/security systems which are constantly updated to meet any new cyber threats.

  • Paper documents are stored in a locked case in a locked room, and electronic documentation is securely stored on a computer under a password-protected system.

  • Regular security audits and encryption are used to ensure data protection.

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can request access to your data.

  • Right to Rectification: You can request correction of incorrect data.

  • Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your data.

  • Right to Data Portability: You can request transfer of your data to another service provider.

  • Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your data.

  • Rights in Relation to Automated Decision Making and Profiling: You have rights related to automated decision making and profiling.

We are legally bound by statutory requirements to hold your data for specific periods. Ethical release of data:

Steve Ashdown Coaching are legally bound to share your data with any lawful and/or Crown agency that requests access to your data via appropriate data release requests. A lawful written authority will be required before sharing.

If we believe that it is necessary to release limited personal information for the health and wellbeing of a client, or to protect the safety of another party, we will do so. This complies with the EMCC Global Code of Ethics, paragraph 2.14.
